Ayming Meets, an Ayming Spain podcast. Episode 2: Entrepeneurship in the biotech sector.

According to the “Informe AseBio 2022”, the biotech sector in Spain grew its manufacturing around 8% in 2021, reaching 13.038 million euros, which is around 1,1% of the GDP. This is a fact that helps spain reach the vanguard of innovation; however, we’re still far away from first place, and the Spanish biotech companies face numerous barriers in order to bring their products into the market.

Facing this scenario, and with the growing R&D&i investment on Spanish biotechs, we spoke with Virginia Gonzalez Álvarez, CEO of Qunubus Pharmaceutical, a professional with more than 20 years of experience helping companies consolidate within the biotech sector, and Cristina Cortés, Innovation Manager of Ayming and a Master in Biotechnology and law teacher in ISDE, to converse about entrepeneurship within the biotech sector in Spain, which advancements are predicted within this sector, public/private financing options and succesful startups.
