Santiago de Compostela, November 20th 2025 – Linknovate Science, S.L., a company specializing in competitive intelligence and innovation, is developing new solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that strengthen the ability to identify innovative organizations and analyze trends in technology and biomedicine in real time with funding from IGAPE.

The project aims to leverage the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) to achieve a new level of automatic entity recognition—identifying entities such as companies, organizations, and research centers—within innovation sources (news articles, scientific publications, patents, and technical reports). This involves not only improving detection accuracy but also interpreting the central or key organization in each news item, distinguishing it from others that may be mentioned tangentially. This capability will allow Linknovate to offer its clients superior extraction and structuring of scientific and technical information, which will be integrated into their business intelligence products.

In recent months, the company has already launched new AI features such as:

    • Automatic generation of innovation reports, summarizing emerging innovation areas and key competitors.
  • Intelligent innovation searches, which optimize the exploration of more than 100 million scientific records in the Linknovate database.

What’s the next step?

The development of an innovation chatbot designed for R&D and technology monitoring professionals. This assistant will offer reliable, contextualized, and actionable information, always backed by verifiable sources.

This project is part of the IG408M aid – Aid for technological development and innovation through the use of artificial intelligence (2025) – Liña A, granted by the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion, under the name “AI for Detection of Protagonist Entities [PEDIA]”.
