From the cluster, we continue to position ourselves as the meeting point for the Galician biotech ecosystem, connecting talent, innovation, and industry.

Santiago de Compostela, July 15, 2025

On July 8, our offices at the Biopolo Sionlla in Santiago de Compostela welcomed participants from Xuventude Mentoring Galicia for a day dedicated to intergenerational networking and connecting young people with professionals from the sector.

Nearly 30 young people joined this experience to learn what BIOGA is, the work we do, and how we promote the biotechnology sector in Galicia. The event offered a unique opportunity to get closer to the ecosystem, resolve questions, and discover how the present and future of the sector are being built.

The session also featured the participation of three key entities from the Galician ecosystem, which shared their vision, projects, and experience with the new generations:

  • Lonza, represented by Rocio Piñeiro and Pablo Couñago

  • CETIM Technological Centre, with Vanessa F.

  • GalChimia, represented by Natalia Noya Fernández

Their involvement allowed participants to delve into the Galician biotech ecosystem, exploring opportunities, challenges, and professional development paths within the sector.

With initiatives like this, BIOGA continues to promote young talent and strengthen the Galician biotechnology ecosystem, consolidating its role as a space for innovation and collaboration.
