ACG was born in 2024 with the aim of \u201cbringing together interests to share knowledge, experience, tools and costs\u201d. This movement strengthens the link between two strategic sectors for Galicia: cosmetics and biotechnology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Galician Cosmetics Association, chaired by pharmacist Ariana Fern\u00e1ndez Palomo, represents companies that are part of the value chain of this economic sector: design, formulation, production, distribution, marketing or control. To highlight the relevance from a sectoral perspective, ACG, based on the data it manages, highlights: \u201cGalicians use an average of seven personal care products daily, such as deodorants, body creams, gels, toothpastes or moisturizers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Betting on talent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Galician Cosmetics Association takes advantage of the moment to send a thought-provoking message to Galician society. \u201cBetting on Galician products means betting on economic development, sustainability and the return of talent to our land.\u201d \u201cIf we want our children, prepared and trained in the best institutions, to return to Galicia, we need strong industries,\u201d highlights Ariana Fern\u00e1ndez Palomo, president of the ACG.<\/p>\n<p>The president of Bioga, for his part, states that \u201cthe meeting between Bioga and the Galician Cosmetics Association not only strengthens the link between two key sectors for Galicia, but also marks a milestone in the commitment to a more sustainable, competitive economy connected to our roots\u201d. In his opinion, \u201ceach purchase of a Galician product is an investment in our land, in our families and in our future, and biotechnology is the strategic catalyst to achieve this objective\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Galician Life Sciences Business Technology Cluster (Bioga) points out that biotechnology can be an essential driver for the transformation of the Galician economy and also for the promotion and consolidation of the cosmetics industry sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Galician Cosmetics Association points out that the Galician cosmetics industry has the tools to be a leader:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge transfer from the three universities of the autonomous community of Galicia (University of Santiago de Compostela, University of Vigo and University of A Coru\u00f1a).<br \/>\n\u2022 Exceptional, privileged raw material and probably the best in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The integration of biotechnology in the Galician cosmetic sector allows:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 To develop new active ingredients from local natural resources, such as algae and plants, with high added value for the global market.<br \/>\n\u2022 To increase sustainability in production processes, reducing environmental impact.<br \/>\n\u2022 To promote innovation through bioprospecting and molecular engineering to offer more effective and differentiated products.<br \/>\n\u2022 To promote the internationalization of Galician cosmetics with innovative and competitive solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>+ about ACG:<\/strong> Asociaci\u00f3n Cosm\u00e9tica de Galicia has its headquarters in the Galician countryside, in the place of Cumbraos, Monterroso Municipality (Lugo), where the Cosm\u00e9tica Muuhlloa project is located. The founding partner companies of ACG are Ariana Palomo (AP), Chorima, Piel Natura, Blue Silk, N\u00fc\u00fcr, Naturavia, Amalgama, Nela Biosense, Siolaz, Orixe Cosmetics, Muuhlloa, Rizzola, Segolab Sa\u00fade, Alloa, Maruxi\u00f1a, Pazo Gil Casares, Anainas, De L\u00fa, Acemelia, Esencia Viva, Ozoaqua and Luxor Essentia. Its Board of Directors, made up of ten members, is composed, in addition to its president, Ariana Fern\u00e1ndez Palomo; by its vice president, Miguel Ram\u00f3n de la Calle; secretary, Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Dopico; treasurer, Alejandro Cortizas; and six vocalists: Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 \u00c1lvarez Quintero, Natalia Silva Mart\u00edn, Enrique Neira, Mar\u00eda Luisa Rodr\u00edguez Lama, Jos\u00e9 Manuel G\u00f3mez Amorim and Juan Carlos Pastor. The Executive Committee, with four members, will be coordinated by Xos\u00e9 Luis Reza.
