The biogas plant is now operational and will generate 3,000,000 kWh of clean energy per year, preventing the emission of more than 600 tons of CO2.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this Bioenergy Ib\u00e9rica project, a pioneer in the food industry, Queizuar has committed to efficiency and decarbonization by valorizing its own waste and by-products, such as lactose and sewage sludge, to generate clean and environmentally friendly energy, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and thus reducing the industry\u2019s dependence on fossil fuels by 80%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are very pleased to have brought this circular energy plant to fruition. It will improve the energy balance of Queizuar\u2019s facilities by utilizing its own energy, making the company more competitive and resilient to changes in the global energy market,\u201d said Jos\u00e9 Luis Romero, Operations Director of Bioenergy Ib\u00e9rica. \u201cAt Bioenergy Ib\u00e9rica, we are firmly committed to finding energy solutions that provide local energy and, in turn, generate social impact in their area of \u200b\u200boperation.
