{"id":4731,"date":"2023-11-22T19:06:53","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T18:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bioga.org\/?p=4731"},"modified":"2023-11-30T15:40:10","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T14:40:10","slug":"qubiotech-implements-their-artificial-intelligencein-the-radiodiagnostics-centers-of-madrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bioga.org\/en\/qubiotech-implements-their-artificial-intelligencein-the-radiodiagnostics-centers-of-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"Qubiotech implements their Artificial Intelligence software for neurodegenerative diagnostics in the Radiodiagnostic Centers of the Community of Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Neurocloud, the brain imaging analysis platform from the galician spin-off, will operate a \u201cradiological analysis ring\u201d so an interconnected hospital web may exchange information for the first time<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A Coru\u00f1a. 15 de noviembre de 2023.<\/strong>The Galician biotech spin-off <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech Health Intelligence<\/strong><\/a>, with their headquarters in A Coru\u00f1a and dedicated to the development and commercialization of software with the goal of improving the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases trough advanced processing of imaging, will implement their <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/soluciones\/\"><strong>Neurocloud<\/strong><\/a> platform in the <strong>Unidad Central de Radiodiagn\u00f3stico (UCR) <\/strong>centers, a public company depending on the <strong>Consejer\u00eda de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The UCR, which contains, six hospital centers (<strong>Hospital Universitario Infanta Sof\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0 from San Sebasti\u00e1n de los Reyes; <strong>Hospital Universitario Infanta Leonor<\/strong> from Vallecas; <strong>Hospital Universitaria Infanta<\/strong> <strong>Cristina<\/strong> from Parla; <strong>Hospital Universitario del Henares<\/strong> from Coslada; <strong>Hospital Universitario del Sureste<\/strong> from Arganda del Rey; and <strong>Hospital Universitario del Tajo<\/strong> from Aranjuez), already set nin motion a pilot test for the implementation of software assisted by brain imaging analysis artificial intelligence (AI) with <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech<\/strong><\/a>, a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioga.org\/\"><strong>Cl\u00faster Tecnol\u00f3xico Empresarial das Ciencias da Vida (Bioga)<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>and created in the <strong>Grupo de Imagen Molecular de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The pilot test will set in motion and assess the digital services platform <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/soluciones\/\"><strong>Neurocloud<\/strong><\/a>, a tool that will allow for the improvement of early diagnosis and precise tracing of patients with neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis or dementia, among others, trough the quantification of imaging biomarkers, which will homogenize and help standardize the ontained information trough these tests. For the first time, a \u201cradiological ring\u201d, integrated in this case by six interconnected hospital centers, will share obtained data trough <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/soluciones\/\"><strong>Neurocloud<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The neuroradiology professionals, the hospital managers and the <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech<\/strong><\/a> team had meetings to set this project in motion. The company directives explained how <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/soluciones\/\"><strong>Neurocloud<\/strong><\/a> is integrated into the daily jobs of the healthcare professionals, and how it will improve operating efficiency. This tool facilitates the obtention of objective data and speeds up workflow when it comes to the analysis of this information.<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Artificial intelligence, in diagnosis<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>technical director of the UCR, \u00c1lvaro Paniagua<\/strong>, explains that \u201cthe agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech<\/strong><\/a> means yet another advancement in the integration of AI tools in diagnostics\u201d. In his opinion, \u201cit will allow for a more objective and precise assessment of patients with neurodegenerative diseases, and it will improve the initial evaluation and tracing of multiple sclerosis, aiding the radiologist in the detection and tracing of lesions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On his end, <strong>Manuel Mu\u00f1oz, Marketing director at <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech<\/strong><\/a>, highlights that \u201cthe integration of the <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/soluciones\/\"><strong>Neurocloud<\/strong><\/a> platform in the UCR is an experience that provides valuable information on an interconnected sector with the goal of improving and facilitating not only the analysis of imaging tests, but also the possibility of sharing information between multidisciplinar groups of healthcare professionals\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Unidad Central de Radiodiagn\u00f3stico of the Comunidad de Madrid and <a href=\"https:\/\/qubiotech.com\/\"><strong>Qubiotech<\/strong><\/a>, trough this project, turn the implementation of AI tools into a reality, with these tools allowing for the normalizatio and optimization of both results and work flow, aswell as the tools adapting to the specific needs of the healthcare system and the organization of a multi center management.
